힙 : 지금까지 많은 뮤지션들과의 콜라보를 해오셨는데, 국내 국외를 막론하고 함께 작업해보고 싶은 뮤지션이 있다면
Hip : You’ve been collaborating with many musicians, do you have any musicians in mind you’d like to work with?
Z : 자기 주체성이 있는 뮤지션들이라면 타 장르의 어떤 누구와 작업을 하든 신선한 것이 나올 수 있을만한 상황인 것 같아요.
저도 지금 굉장히 작업욕이 있기 때문에 다 재미있을것 같은데 전 개인적으로 요새 ‘윤미래’님과 함께하고 싶은 마음이 있고
프로듀서분들 중에는 ‘테디’님이 너무 멋있는것 같아요. 그리고 얼마전에 저한테 문자 보내셨지만, 저도 크러쉬와 마찬가지로 ‘태양’님과 알앤비 듀엣도 해보고 싶고요.
Z : If someone has inner direction in their music, we can make something fresh together whoever they are.
Recently I am highly motivated, so it’ll be very fun. Personally, I want to collaborate with ‘Yoon Mirae’,
and I think Teddy is awesome among producers. And texted me recently. Like him, I also want to do an R&B duet with Taeyang.

힙 : 그럼 아직 함께 작업해보지 못한 뮤지션중에 나중에 꼭 같이 작업해보고 싶은 뮤지션이 있나요?
Hip : Then do you have any musician that you haven’t worked with but want to collaborate with someday?
크러쉬 : 빅뱅 태양형님이랑 같이 작업해보고 싶어요. 얼마전에 트위터에서 저를 언급해주셨는데 너무 좋았어요.
원래 예전부터 태양형님을 좋아해서 노래방에서 태양형님 노래를 많이 불렀는데 앞으로 같이 좋은 작업을 했으면 좋겠어요.
Crush : I want to work with Taeyang of Bigbang. He mentioned me on his twitter recently, it was really
nice [of him]. I’ve been a big fan of his, so I used to sing his song a lot in karaoke. I hope we work together
and do some good work in the future.

빅뱅의 태양이 ‘가왕’ 조용필을 만난다. 조용필의 오랜 팬으로 유명한 태양은 23일 오후 8시 서울 방이동 올림픽 공원 올림픽 홀에서 열리는 조용필의 프리미어 쇼케이스를 관람하고 조용필과 만나는 시간을 갖는다. 한 관계자는 “태양이 오래전부터 워낙 조용필을 좋아했다. 그래서 이번 쇼케이스도 자연스럽게 관람하러 가게된 것”이라고 귀띔했다.
Bigbang Taeyang meets YongPil Cho, the king of (K)pop today. Taeyang, well known as a big fan of YP, will watch YP’s premiere showcase and will have a time with YP. According to an YG official, Taeyang has been such a big fan of YP for a long time, so he naturally attends this showcase.
태양은 지난 15일 밤 자신의 트위터를 통해 “와우. 조용필 선배님. 미리듣기 음원이 이렇게 좋을수가. 심장이 바운스 바운스. 두근대. 들킬까 겁나”라는 글을 게재하며 조용필 컴백에 큰 관심을 보인 바 있다.

R : 다른 YG아티스트들과의 관계는 어떤가요?
R : How is the relationship with other YG artists?
C : YG의 분위기는 운동장 같아서 굉장히 좋아요. 복도에 보면 세그웨이(Segway)도 있고 여러가지 팝아트 작품들도 걸려있잖아요. 그래서인지 함께 작업할 때에도 재미있어요. 새로운 아이디어와 컨셉트를 잡아가는 과정이 즐겁죠. 영배나 탑도 음악적으로 열정이 넘쳐요. 제가 작업실에 가만히 있으면 음악 좀 들려달라고 찾아오죠.
C : YG’s mood is quite good, like a playground. There’re various pop art works hung in the hallway, and a segway’s there too. So it’s fun to work with. I enjoy the process of catching new ideas and concept. YB and top are very passionate in music. When I’m in my workroom, They visit me to listen some music.
R : 어느분이 제일(음악을 들려달라며) 귀찮게 하나요?
R : Who is the most bothered one(by requesting music)?
C : (웃음) 영배가 제일 많이 찾아와요. 음악을 사랑하는 것이 느껴져요. 항상 에너지가 넘치거든요. 특히, 음악에 대한 센스가 남다르죠. 미겔(Miguel)이나 프랭크 오션(Frank Ocean)을 같이 듣기도 하고요.
C : (laughing) YB is the most. I can feel how much he loves music. He’s always energetic. Especially, he has a special sense on music. Sometimes we listen to Miguel or Frank Ocean’s music together.
R : 투애니원은 어떤가요?
R : What about 2NE1?
C : 투애니원도 좋죠. 그런데 투애니원은 테디가 총괄하는 프로젝트예요. 사장님이 테디에게 일임을 했죠. 그리고 여자라 그런지 스튜디오에서는 자주 못봐요. 그런데 영배는 놀러와서 컴퓨터도 쓰고 지용이도 자주 왔다갔다 해서 대화가 많죠.
C : They are also good. But 2NE1 is in charge of Teddy. Boss left the whole project to Teddy. And maybe they’re girls, I can’t see them in studio. But YB come to my workroom for example using my computer and GD also comes often, so we talks a lot.
R : 대부분 YG의 음악은 아이돌 팬덤을 제외하더라도 팝 팬들과 흑인음악 마니아들까지 사로잡은 경우가 많아요. 이런 YG음악의 힘이 무엇이라 생각하는지 궁금해요.
R: Aside from idol music fans, YG music has attracted pop music fans and fans of R&B/Soul. Which point in YG music has made this possible?
C : 준수한 퀄리티라고 생각해요. 사람들이 갈수록 음악을 듣는 귀가 높아지잖아요. 그래서 그런지 사장님부터 음악의 퀄리티를 중요하게 여기는 것 같아요. 겉으로만 반짝거리는 것보다 솔직한 음악이 어필하잖아요.우선적으로 지용이나 영배 모두가 솔직하게 하고 싶은 음악을 하니까 전달이 잘 되는 것 같아요. 판을 많이 팔아야 한다고 생각하고 작업하는 것은 아니거든요. 심지어 아기들에게 들려줘도 진짜인지 아닌지 알거든요. 음악에 진심이 담겨있는지 아닌지 누구나 알 수 있으니까요.
C : I think it’s because of quality. People demand more quality in music as time goes by. Perhaps because of that, from the boss to us, we think that music quality is very important. Honest music appeals more than affected ones. In particular , GD and Taeyang do the music that they sincerely want to express, so it delivers what they want to show well. They don’t rely on how much they can sell. Even babies can recognize if it’s real or not. Everyone can sense whether the music is sincere or not.
